MGK shocked the world last month when he unveiled his ‘blackout tattoo’ covering his arms and torso. Of course, we knew the experience would be painful, but Machine Gun Kelly’s now admitted to using a hyperbolic oxygen chamber to make it heal faster.
The music star, whose real name is Colson Baker, unveiled his ‘blackout tattoo’ last month via Instagram, to a mixed reaction from fans. He deleted all previous posts prior, as it looks like the star has entered a ‘new era’. Although he didn’t reveal the exact meaning behind the artwork, Machine Gun Kelly said he got the piece “for spiritual purposes only.”

Machine Gun Kelly uses ‘hyperbolic oxygen chamber’ to help tattoo heal faster
Documenting the process on his Instagram, the Bloody Valentine singer posted a video of the painful process of ‘coloring’ his arms and torso in black ink, which was done in multiple sessions.
In each of the clips, the 33-year-old was wide awake, as he captioned the post: “I heard that they thought I went to sleep for this…”
He came to update the camera after seven sessions, which were done in two weeks. “This is the most painful s*** I’ve ever experienced,” he told fans while flexing his muscles to show off the ink.
The pain didn’t come without a price, as the rapper showed his swollen elbow, which looked almost double the size it normally would.
MGK, who is known for his ‘on and off again relationship’ with Megan Fox concluded the video by showing himself sitting in a hyperbolic oxygen chamber to speed up the healing process.
In the machine, air pressure is raised to a pressure that is higher than normal, which helps the lungs to collect more oxygen, which helps the body to heal faster.
Despite seeing all the pain the star went through, fans still weren’t impressed, as most of them say they prefer his old ink.
“I feel bad for all the artists that tattooed him over the years. That’s like spray-painting black over someone’s mural on a wall,” wrote one.
“Your old tattoos were iconic,” agreed another.

The star seems to be ‘starting fresh’

As well as replacing and covering his old ink, it looks like the star may also be ‘starting fresh’ in his love life. He started dating Hollywood star Megan Fox in 2020, even popping the question less than two years later.
However, it looks like the two may no longer be a celebrity couple. In a recent interview on the Call Her Daddy podcast, the movie star gave a ‘cryptic’ update on their relationship status.
“I think that what I’ve learned about being in this relationship is that it’s not for public consumption. As of now, I don’t have a comment on the status of the relationship per se,” the 37-year-old told host Alex Cooper.
“What I can say is that is what I refer to as my twin soul, and there will always be a tether to him no matter what. I can’t say for sure what the capacity will be, but I will always be connected to him somehow.”
Fox then said she was “not willing” to explain beyond that.
Last month, a source told US Weekly that the pair were living separately.
“They did this arrangement to give each other some space while still being together,” the source explained.
The insider said the couple were at a “low point” in their relationship, and claimed Fox had even asked friends to “set her up” with other people.
